Job summary

Ramsay Health Care is seeking a Sterilisation Services professional to ensure high standards in cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments for the sterilising department and related facilities.

As part of a hub-and-spoke model, you will work with Operating Theatre staff at Ramsay sites to ensure timely delivery of sterilised reusable instruments, maintaining consistency across departments and sites while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Infection prevention and control practices understood and applied.
• Instrument cleaning, preparation and sterilisation experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards for cleaning, assembly, inspecting, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Collaborate with Operating Theatre staff at two Ramsay sites to provide timely supply of sterilised reusable instruments.
• Maintain workflow consistency across Operating Theatre areas and the Sterilising Department.

Job description

This role ensures high standards for cleaning, assembly, inspecting, wrapping andsterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment for the sterilisingdepartment and all ancillary facilities and departments is maintained

As our CSSD is Hub and Spoke model, the role includes workingin conjunction with the Operating Theatre staff at two Ramsay Sites to provide the timely supply of sterilereusable surgical instrumentation, and maintaining consistencyand continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas at both sites, andthe sterilising department whilst providing exceptional customer service.

About You:

You have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and effective time management. You work well both independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to quality, continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service. You are available to work all shifts on a rotating shift work roster.

Key Accountabilities:

• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or an equivalent qualification (not required, but desirable)
• Understanding of infection prevention and control practices.
• Experience in instrument cleaning, preparation and sterilisation also desirable.
