Epworth Freemasons, located in East Melbourne, is seeking a passionate CSSD Manager to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant reprocessing of reusable medical devices to support exceptional patient care.
This role supports perioperative services by managing the loan instrumentation and equipment process, ensuring all required items are received, processed, and available for use when needed. You will be responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical devices, including collection, cleaning, decontamination, inspection, testing, packaging, sterilisation, storage, and distribution. Working as part of a collaborative and high-performing CSSD team, you will contribute to infection prevention, patient safety, and the delivery of quality clinical services. Previous theatre nursing experience and a sound understanding of sterilisation and CSSD practices are essential.
