Job summary

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking Instrument Technicians to join our CSSD, focusing on cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical devices to support theatre operations. You will work closely with theatre staff to ensure timely delivery and uphold infection control protocols, with opportunities for professional development and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to participate in relevant courses and education sessions.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical devices in accordance with AS 5369:2023.
• Conduct regular quality assurance checks and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of reusable medical devices (RMDs).
• Provide learning and support to junior staff.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by participating in relevant education sessions.
