Job summary

Rokon, Victoria's Civil Contractors, invites an experienced Crushing Plant Operator to join our mobile crushing team. Reporting to the Crushing Plant Supervisor, you will operate loaders and excavators, load trucks, and stockpile materials across crushing operations.

You must have proven crushing-plant experience, a current driver's licence and plant tickets, an OH&S white card, and the ability to work under pressure as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating key plant in a crushing environment.
• Recent experience in bulk earthworks, quarry or mining environments.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Current driver’s licence and plant tickets.
• Safety focused attitude.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible to move across machines and sites as needed by the business.
• OH&S Induction card (white card).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate loaders and excavators of various sizes across crushing operations with face loading experience.
• Extract, load, move and stockpile quarry materials as required.
• Load trucks and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
• Feed and manage material around crushing and screening operations.
• Maintain stockpiles and ensure materials are placed correctly.
• Complete daily pre-start inspections and identify any mechanical or safety issues.
• Assist with plant maintenance and other mobile plant operations when required.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Crushing Plant Supervisor, your key responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:
