Job summary

HiQ Group is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our NSW-based team. You will diagnose, repair, and service earthmoving machinery, crushers and fixed plants, both on-site and off-site, with a focus on safety and production.

You will carry out routine maintenance, complete required paperwork, and implement risk controls. A White Card and an Australian MR licence (or the ability to obtain them) are essential, along with strong communication skills and a proven safe-work track

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of heavy duty earthmoving equipment and hydraulics.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• White Card and Australian MR driver’s licence (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out on- and offsite diagnosis, repairs, routine inspection and servicing of equipment and machinery.
• Completing all required paperwork accurately and effectively.
• Apply risk management strategies when completing tasks in the work environment.

The successful applicant will be required to perform repairs and diagnosticson a range of earthmoving machinery, crushers, screens and fixed plants along with regular routine maintenance in order to achieve optimum production without compromising safety. e.g.

• Carrying out on and offsite diagnosis, repairs, routine inspection andservicingofequipment and machinery
• Completing all required paperwork accurately and effectively
• Apply risk management strategies when completing tasks in the work environment.

• Sound knowledge on a variety of Heavy Duty Earthmoving equipment / hydraulics
• Effectively repair machine breakdowns/field service
• A strong service background with proven experience
• Competent performance in routine maintenance
• Ability to diagnose mechanical / electrical / hydraulic faults
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong commitment toworking at ahigh standardwith emphasis on qualityworkmanship
• Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment
• White Card (or willing to obtain)
• Current Australian MR minimum drivers licence (or able to obtain)
• Proven ability to work unsupervised with a track record of working safely
