Job summary

The Grand Hotel Healesville is seeking an experienced Crowd Controller to join our close-knit country pub team for regular Friday and Saturday night shifts. You will help keep staff and patrons safe while maintaining the relaxed, friendly atmosphere our locals expect.

With a current Victorian Crowd Controller licence and experience in pub or hospitality security, you will read situations, de‑escalate calmly and assist staff with entry refusals when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Work Friday and Saturday night shifts, with regular ongoing work.
• Monitor the bar, beer garden and surrounding areas.
• Keep an eye on patron behaviour and RSA issues.
• De-escalate situations calmly before they become a problem.
• Assist staff with refusing entry or removing patrons when necessary.

The Grand Hotel Healesville is looking for an experienced and reliable Crowd Controller to join our team for regular Friday and Saturday night shifts. We're a country pub in a small community, so we know good security is as much about people skills as it is crowd control.

You'll need to be friendly and approachable with our regulars, know how to read a situation and be experienced enough to step in calmly when needed. We're not after a nightclub-style approach. We want someone who understands the relaxed, community feel of a country pub while still keeping our staff and patrons safe.
