The National Hotel in Richmond, Melbourne is seeking a Bar Supervisor and experienced Bartenders to join our friendly team ahead of a busy summer season.

You'll lead shifts, delegate tasks, manage stock, and deliver welcoming service across the bar, dining areas and functions. RSA and strong knowledge of beer, wine and cocktails are essential, with a clear eye for cost control and staff development.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years bartending in busy venues with high service standards.
• Previous supervisory experience or readiness to take on more responsibility.
• Strong cocktail-making skills and good knowledge of beer, wine, and coffee service.

About the role

Working alongside our venue management team, you'll help lead service and keep the venue day to day running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include

• Leading shifts, delegating tasks and coordinating staff breaks.

• Delivering welcoming, attentive service across the bar, dining areas and functions.
• Maintaining stock levels, venue presentation and operational standards.
• Upholding RSA, liquor licensing and workplace safety requirements.
• Supporting a positive, inclusive environment for staff and guests.

This is a hands on role, with plenty of time behind the bar and on the floor alongside your team.

Who we're looking for

• At least two years' bartending experience in busy venues with high service standards.
• Previous supervisory experience, or clear readiness to take on more responsibility.
• Strong cocktail-making skills and good knowledge of beer, wine and coffee service.
• An understanding of stock control, wastage and beverage costs.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to guide a team during busy service.
• Confidence using POS systems and handling cash.
• Attention to detail and a calm, practical approach to problem-solving.
• A genuine interest in food, drinks and hospitality, with a willingness to learn and take ownership.
• A current Victorian RSA certificate and Australian work rights.

Availability for evenings, weekends and some public holidays is essential.
