Job summary

Talent Corp in Sydney is seeking an experienced engineer to develop control and signal processing solutions for Fibre Optic Gyroscopes (FOG). You will model, simulate, validate algorithms, and optimise closed-loop control for real-time performance on FPGA implementations.

Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will translate system requirements into robust designs, validate on hardware, and drive production readiness through verification, documentation and risk management.

Qualifications

• Degree in control engineering or related field with emphasis on real-time systems.
• Strong modelling, analysis, and experimental validation skills.
• Experience delivering FPGA-implemented control and DSP for real-time apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize closed-loop control and DSP algorithms for real-time FOG systems.
• Create models and analysis methods to guide design decisions.
• Validate algorithms on hardware and address system-level performance issues.
• Collaborate with photonics, electronics, FPGA and firmware engineers to deliver real-time solutions.
• Define performance requirements and verification approaches for production readiness.
• Support integration, characterization and troubleshooting through development and production.
