Job summary

The Salvation Army in St Kilda, VIC is seeking a dedicated Casual Crisis Accommodation Support Worker. You will provide consistent support to young people, families and individuals in crisis within the refuge setting, implementing case plans and coordinating services to promote safety and independence.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Social Sciences or Welfare and a current Victorian Driver's Licence, with shifts including weekends and overnights.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Welfare or related field preferred.
• Experience in social services or youth work is desirable.
• Ability to undertake risk assessments and intake processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe environments for residents within the refuge setting.
• Offer informal and client-centered support to youth and families.
• Implement case management plans and monitor progress.
• Conduct comprehensive intake and risk assessments for refuge clients.
• Coordinate handovers and ensure safety during shift changes.
