Job summary

Downer Group in Eastern Creek, NSW, is seeking experienced Asphalt Paving Crew Members for full‑time, permanent roles with our surfacing team. You’ll join a safety‑focused, quality‑driven group and contribute to long‑term project delivery and high‑quality finishes.

You’ll need an MR licence (HR desirable), the flexibility to work day and night shifts, hands-on asphalt experience, and competence with equipment such as Bobcats, pavers, screed boards and rollers.

Qualifications

• Experience in the asphalt industry with hands-on paving work.
• MR licence desirable; HR considered a bonus.
• Involves operating asphalt equipment and manual tools.
• White Card and Civil Construction qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Pave asphalt to required specifications as part of an experienced crew.
• Operate Bobcats, pavers, screed boards and rollers as directed.
• Maintain safety standards and quality on site.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely project delivery.

Job description

Excellent long-term job opportunities are now available for experienced Asphalt Paving Crew Members to join our team in Eastern Creek, NSW. These are full-time, permanent positions working with our highly experienced surfacing crew and would be well suited to people with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

What You’ll Bring

• Current MR Licence (HR desirable)
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the asphalt industry, including experience using a rake and shovel
• Competency in operating asphalt equipment, including Bobcats, pavers, screed boards, steel rollers and multi-tyred rollers
• Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Certificate II or III in Civil Construction, or relevant Civil Engineering qualifications, would be advantageous
• A positive attitude and strong team focus, with the proven ability to work effectively with others
• A strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture
