Job summary

West Australian Symphony Orchestra seeks a Crescendo Lead to drive its Crescendo Program at Medina and North Parmelia Primary Schools. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, coordinating a team of teaching artists and delivering high-quality music education with a strong emphasis on student outcomes.

You will engage schools, families and community partners, manage scholarships and events, and ensure program reporting and continuous improvement, supporting young people to thrive

Qualifications

• Significant experience in music education or youth development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teaching artists.
• Strong program planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience working with diverse children and families.
• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Crescendo Teaching Artists and oversee all program delivery.
• Ensure high-quality musicianship and music education outcomes.
• Coordinate program planning, administration and reporting.
• Engage schools, families and community partners.
• Develop scholarship pathways and student development opportunities.
• Coordinate events, performances and program evaluation.
