Job summary

Bendigo Bank is seeking a Credit Manager Direct to apply sound commercial judgment within our credit risk framework, supporting Business Direct team serving business borrowers up to $1.5m. The role involves assessing escalated lending applications, mentoring bankers, shaping credit practices, and driving policy and strategy with senior risk leaders.

This permanent, full-time position offers hybrid work with local Head Office attendance negotiated with leadership, and opportunities to influence

Qualifications

• Proven success in a business credit risk or lending role with DLA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess escalated lending applications using Delegated Lending Authority (DLA).
• Provide expert credit support and mentorship to frontline bankers.
• Shape credit practices and monitor DLA usage in frontline lending.
• Drive policy and strategy to improve credit risk and customer experience.
• Build core relationships with Head of Direct, Business & Agribusiness Leaders, and Group Risk Leaders.
• Manage portfolios and ensure non-performing loans are re-graded within required timeframes.
