Job summary

Discover Nursing Australia is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 support in the Bargara/Bundaberg area. The role focuses on enabling participation in painting and creative arts, and assisting with community access and recreation.

You will transport the participant, support daily living tasks as needed, and maintain documentation while following individual care plans and monitoring wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• CPR certification.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
• Reliable vehicle with insurance for transporting the participant.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a participant in Bargara/Bundaberg area.
• Assist with community access, transport to shops, appointments and recreation.
• Support painting, creative arts, arts and crafts activities.
• Maintain accurate support documentation and progress notes.
• Follow the participant's care plans and monitor wellbeing.
