Job summary
Discover Nursing Australia is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 community access, recreation and creative arts support in Bargara/Bundaberg, QLD. The role emphasizes painting and creative activities, with a nursing-led coordination team backing the participant.

Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR certification.
- Australian working rights.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle with insurance suitable for transporting the participant.
- ABN or willingness to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 community access and social participation.
- Transport to shops, appointments and recreational activities.
- Shopping and everyday errands.
- Painting and creative art activities.
- Arts and crafts projects.
- Visiting galleries, art stores, markets or community activities.
- Recreational and leisure activities.
- Exploring new hobbies and interests.
- Support independence, choice and participation.
- Assist with daily living as required.
- Monitor wellbeing and escalate concerns.
- Follow the participant's care plans.
- Maintain accurate support documentation and progress notes.
