Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Crane Operator role based in Exmouth, WA. The Crane Operator will safely operate cranes and related lifting equipment to move, position, and place materials and components on construction and industrial sites. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre-start checks and inspections, setting up cranes in accordance with lift plans, and coordinating lifts with rigging and site teams. The role involves following safety procedures, adhering to relevant standards and site rules, and maintaining accurate records of operations and inspections. The Crane Operator will also assist with general site duties when required and work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in lifting operations, including planning, coordinating, and executing safe lifts.
• Telehandler and EWP preferable
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as mobile Franna cranes in construction or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging gear, and load handling techniques.
• Capability to perform inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to identify defects and ensure compliance.
• Strong understanding of crane operation principles and relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Valid crane operator certification or license appropriate for Western Australia; high-risk work license and relevant dogging/rigging tickets are highly regarded.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, hazard identification, and participation in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Ability to read and follow lift plans, site instructions, and technical documentation; good communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in construction, engineering, or industrial asset services environments is an advantage.
• Physical capability to work on-site, including standing, climbing, and working in outdoor conditions, and ability to pass required medicals and drug and alcohol screening.
