Job summary

HEQ Group in Dalby, QLD, is seeking a qualified Crane Operator & Dogman to join our operations team. You will safely operate mobile and Franna cranes to support workshop and field lifting operations across our projects.

The role requires a High Risk Work Licence CN, C1, C0, a White Card, and proven experience with Franna cranes; you must be able to work on remote sites, complete lift plans, and pass pre-employment medical tests. Competitive hourly rates and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience operating Franna cranes (minimum two years preferred).
• High Risk Work Licence CN, C1, C0 must be held.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card) required.
• Solid understanding of safe lifting practices and load chart interpretation.
• Ability to work on remote sites and participate in site rotations.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and Franna cranes in compliance with Australian Standards and HEQ Group procedures.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report defects or issues.
• Perform lifting operations for servicing, component change-outs, and site mobilisations.
• Collaborate with riggers, supervisors, and safety officers to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Complete lift plans, SWMS, and risk assessments as required.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with all site and legislative requirements.

We are currently seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Crane Operator & Dogman to join our operations team.

About the Role
The Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating mobile and Franna cranes to support workshop and field-based lifting operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient execution of lifts across a range of projects and client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Operate mobile and Franna cranes in compliance with Australian Standards and HEQ Group procedures

Conduct daily pre-start checks and report any defects or issues

Perform lifting operations for servicing, component change-outs, and site mobilisations

Collaborate with riggers, supervisors, and safety officers to complete tasks safely and efficiently

Complete lift plans, SWMS, and risk assessments as required

Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with all site and legislative requirements
