Job summary

IC Resources Recruitment is seeking a CPU ASIC Design Engineer for a leading semiconductor company at its Cambridge design center. You will contribute to high-performance, low-power processor development from concept to silicon, collaborating with top architects and design teams.

You will own RTL design, refine microarchitecture, and balance power, timing and area while supporting verification and cross-functional integration with physical design.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Strong understanding of microprocessor architecture and CPU design principles.
• Experience with power, timing and area trade-offs in CPU design.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CPU modeling teams to assess and refine high-performance design strategies.
• Lead the development and specification of microarchitecture from initial architectural concepts to detailed implementation.
• Take ownership of RTL design and refinement, balancing power, performance, timing, and area constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with CPU modeling teams to assess and refine high-performance design strategies.
