The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) seeks a CPD Standards Project Coordinator to support CPD standards initiatives through effective project and committee coordination on a 24-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the CPD Standards Lead, you will help design and develop CPD workshops, apply adult learning principles, translate expertise into engaging learning experiences, and coordinate committee meetings and documentation across online

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

Reporting to the Continued Professional Development (CPD) Standards Lead, the CPD Standards Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of CPD Standards initiatives through effective project and committee coordination. This 24-month fixed-term contract role provides coordination and stakeholder support across a range of projects and activities, ensuring the efficient management of committee processes, documentation, communications, and project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development and continuous improvement of CPD workshops, learning activities and educational resources to support effective participant learning.
• Apply an understanding of adult learning principles and participant learning needs when developing and reviewing educational activities.
• Work with subject matter experts and relevant stakeholders to translate specialist content into engaging and effective learning experiences, particularly within postgraduate medical education and CPD environments.
• Provide committee coordination to the relevant committees and project groups (online and face-toface), which involves preparing agendas and writing minutes, follow up actions, and support for any sub project groups as required.
• Assist with the preparation of documents/proposals for the RANZCOG committees/project groups, and circulation to relevant stakeholders (e.g. College members and staff), and collation and consolidation of feedback.
• Coordinate the CPD activity approval process (internal and external) in line with the RANZCOG CPD framework.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the CPD Standards Lead and/or Executive Director, Education Development.

Skills and Experiences

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience assisting in the design, development and continuous improvement of workshops and learning activities.
• An understanding of the learning support needs of CPD participants and training programs (preferably postgraduate medical training)
• Sound experience supporting projects, committees, or similar bodies within a professional administrative environment.
• Highly advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint, with the ability to utilise technology able to grasp functionality of bespoke platforms to improve efficiency, streamline processes and support reporting and project coordination
• Experience of facilitating online meetings using MS Teams/Zoom and/or other videoconferencing programs.
• Sound experience gained in a professional environment, supporting committees (or similar bodies) and general administration.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to effectively handle conflicting priorities, establish timeframes and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate meeting agendas and minutes and draft a wide range of correspondence and reports for a wide range of audiences.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently liaise and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, individuals and groups.
• Strong attention to detail, and the ability to initiate improvements to procedures and process.
• A proactive, adaptable and customer-focused approach to work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Proven ability to operate both independently and in a team environment.
• An interest in, and commitment to issues concerning women’s health, an interest in health education, and a positive attitude towards developing further skills in an educational setting.

This role may require attendance at College committee meetings outside regular business hours. In recognition of this, time in lieu arrangements are provided.
