Federal Court of Australia is seeking a Court Support Coordinator to assist in the daily management and operation of NSW/ACT courtrooms and hearings. As hearings at the Federal Court fluctuate depending on judicial listings and requirements, the position is also responsible for aiding the allocation and management of a small team of casual court officers. The position reports directly to the Team Leader of National Court Support.

The position requires the candidate to excel in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. The role is required to quickly respond to in-court judicial requirements and, as such, the candidate must be able to quickly assess urgency and respond accordingly. The position takes a significant role in the smooth functioning of the judiciary in its primary role – the listing and hearing of disputes brought before the Court.
As such, the candidate will be required to take ownership of, and responsibility for, the ongoing and changing nature of the role. The ability to liaise effectively with the Judiciary and their staff in relation to their courtroom requirements will be key.
