Federal Court of Australia seeks an Assistant Director Web and Intranet Services to lead the Courts’ digital platforms and ensure accessible, secure, user-focused web and intranet services aligned with Australian Government standards.

The Assistant Director Web and Intranet Services manages and oversees the Courts’ and Tribunal’s websites, intranets and related digital applications on behalf of Communications. The role ensures digital content and services are accessible, secure, user-focused and aligned with Australian Government policies, standards and best practice. Reporting to the Director Communications, the position leads a small team of digital professionals and engages with senior court and tribunal executives on digital priorities, digital projects, governance and service improvements.
The team’s work encompasses both BAU operations and project delivery, balancing the ongoing maintenance, support and continuous improvement of the Courts’ and Tribunal’s digital platforms with the planning and implementation of enhancements and new capabilities.
The position develops web and intranet strategies, initiatives and improvements as well as developing long term replacement strategies for both websites and intranets in conjunction with stakeholders, communications and IT professionals. They are responsible for leading the planning and delivery of web and intranet enhancements to ensure solutions meet nominated requirements and user needs, and management of all projects in alignment with budgets and timing in conjunction with any nominated project manager.
