Job summary

G4S Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Court Security Officer for Heidelberg on a full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining safety and order at the courts, with daytime hours Monday to Friday and on-site training that leads to authorisation as a Court Officer.

Responsibilities include customer service at court entrances, x-ray screening, patrolling, conflict resolution, incident response and access control. Travel between Heidelberg and Bundoora Courts is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate II or III in Security Operations.
• Current Victorian security licence.
• Current first aid accreditation.
• Must be willing to travel across Heidelberg and Bundoora Courts.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service to anyone entering the court.
• Conducting x-ray screening, using metal detectors and searching individuals for prohibited items.
• Roving security patrols within and external to the building.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Acting as a first responder to any incidents that may occur.
• Managing access and control rooms.

Education

Certificate II or III in Security Operations
