Job summary

Acknowledge Education on the Sydney campus is seeking an experienced Course Coordinator – Social Work to lead and oversee Social Work courses, ensuring high-quality learning and compliance with Higher Education standards. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will mentor staff, drive curriculum enhancement, monitor student outcomes and collaborate with stakeholders to grow the program.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Social Work or related discipline.
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Experience in higher education course coordination.
• Experience supporting academic staff and overseeing course delivery.
• Knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework and TEQSA requirements.
• Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, moderation and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to academic excellence, student success and inclusive educational practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership and oversight of Social Work courses.

• Prepare reports and documentation for academic committees and governance bodies.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support course quality and student success.

Job Description

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Department, you will provide academic leadership and oversight of assigned Social Work courses, ensuring high-quality learning experiences, strong student outcomes and ongoing compliance with Higher Education standards.

You will work closely with academic staff, students and key stakeholders to support course quality, curriculum enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A postgraduate qualification in Social Work or a related discipline, at least one AQF level higher than the course being coordinated.
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Experience in higher education course coordination, academic leadership or program management.
• Experience supporting academic staff and overseeing course delivery.
• Knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework and TEQSA requirements.
• Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, moderation and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A commitment to academic excellence, student success and inclusive educational practices.
