$81,743 to $94,261 per annum (HEO5) + 17% super

About the role

The Course Advising Officer provides a developmental course advising service as part of a team, collaborating with students to understand their programs, identify challenges, align their studies with personal goals, and implement strategies for course completion, thereby improving student retention and success. The team works with students in both individual and group settings, via phone, video calls, email, and face-to-face interactions. The team also supports the development, maintenance, and promotion of web-based, self-service course advising resources. This student-centred and evidence-based service is primarily targeted at students at high risk of non-completion, including those in Tiers 2, 3, and 4 of the UNE Student Support Policy.

About the Portfolio

The Student Journey portfolio is responsible for all aspects of the student experience at UNE to ensure quality of provision from enrolment to graduation. Through institutional collaboration the Division supports the University's strategy, in ensuring all UNE students and UNE graduates have an experience which supports and enables their academic success and future life course progress.
