Job summary

Catalyst X is seeking motivated owner-operators in Sydney to join our on-demand courier network. You’ll need a valid C-Class license, ACN/ABN and GST registration, and own a suitable van. Training and support are provided to help you establish your courier business.

This role offers a 3+ year contractor agreement with a weekly revenue guarantee. We provide access to bespoke van finance solutions and ongoing recruitment support to keep you on the road delivering for business clients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid C-Class Driver's License and be able to operate as an owner-operator.
• Must have or be willing to obtain ACN, ABN and GST registration to run a business.
• Ability to manage time and provide reliable customer service in a fast-paced courier environment.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the on-demand courier fleet and deliver for business clients.
• Occasionally permanent runs may be offered based on suitability and location.
• Provide last mile courier services to a variety of business customers.
• Require 10 hours of availability per day (Mon-Fri) with 7am start times.
• Maintain punctual daily log-ins and reliable service across metro areas.
• Explore a broad set of suburbs across your region to expand client exposure.

• Upon being offered a position on the fleet, you'll be offered a 3+ year contractor agreement.
• Included is a 3+ year weekly Minimum Revenue Guarantee.
• As an Owner Driver in Couriers, you'll need to own a van and if you don't own one, our team will support you in selecting the most suitable van to buy once you are offered a position & contract.
• You will have access to bespoke finance solutions from our suppliers to assist you in the purchase of your van
• If you don't have courier experience, then that's okay. Sufficient training and support provided by our courier partners.
• Our team of courier recruitment experts will work closely with you, ensuring your courier business is setup correctly, meets industry standards, getting you ready to hit the road.
• You'll be supplied with a complete courier transport kit.
• You will have the opportunity to grow and expand your business with your own fleet of vans & drivers if you have the desire to do so.

The Work

• You'll be part of the on-demand fleet
• Some permanent runs may be available and may be offered to you based on your suitability and location.
• Enjoy the open road and work with a variety of business customers day to day, providing last mile courier services.
• 10 hours of availability per day to collect work is required (Monday to Friday)
• Daily log on time is 7am
• The majority of work involves Business to Business (B2B) jobs, with a very small portion consisting of Business to Consumer (B2C) jobs.
• Instead of being limited to one or two fixed suburbs or a set territory, you'll have the opportunity to explore a variety of suburbs across your metro area or surrounding regions - offering greater exposure to a wider client base and a refreshing change of scenery each day.

The Right Candidate

• A suitable van for this work. Please note that not all vans meet our requirements, so we will assess your van accordingly. If you don't own one, we will assist you with purchasing a suitable van.
• Must have a C-Class Driver's License.
• You will need to be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid visa with unrestricted work rights.
• Must have an ACN, ABN and GST registration (Pty Ltd company), or willing to setup one.
