Cairns City Remote Area Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation (RAATSIC) seeks a Counsellor for the Child Witness Domestic Violence Program. Based in Cairns, you will deliver counselling to children and families and travel regionally to Cape York communities.

The role requires qualifications in Counselling, Social Work or related fields, with a focus on Indigenous communities, confidentiality, and data management. Valid Working with Children Check and driver's licence are required.

Qualifications

• Counselling skills for children and families.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, support and therapeutic activities to children and young people affected by domestic violence.
• Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality.
• Travel to Cape York communities as required.
