Job summary

Future Generation Snowy 2.0 is seeking a Cost Controller/Project Estimator to support budget and resource control on the Snowy 2.0 infrastructure program in New South Wales. This role focuses on cost analysis, budgeting, variance review, and collaboration with the project team to keep expenditures within approved limits.

The candidate will require advanced Excel and CPM scheduling experience, SAP familiarity, and strong communication across operations, finance and management.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in cost controlling or project estimating on major infrastructure projects, preferably construction.
• Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable works.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and STR Vision CPM.
• Proficiency with SAP and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage progress, analysis and cost management of the project within the FGJV budget and resources.
• Prepare and review the executive budget twice a year or after substantive changes.
• Analyze variances between estimated and actual costs for personnel, inventory and subcontractors monthly.
• Coordinate with the project management team to keep expenditures within budget.
• Report to Finance Manager for on-purpose analysis and forecasts.
• Monitor monetary progress of the project and ensure proper recording of expenditures.
• Conduct gap analyses of cost control activities and audit site cost controls.
• Prepare production statistics and monthly project reports.
• Establish cost control procedures and optimize resource utilization.
