A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. We partner closely with contractors, engineering consultancies and delivery organisations to place high quality technical professionals. Our approach is relationship led and commercially grounded, built on practical industry experience and a clear understanding of how complex projects are delivered.
Sitting within the project controls team, the Cost Controller is the person area leadership relies on to know exactly where the money is going. Day to day, that means maintaining the cost breakdown structure and cost codes, tracking commitments, purchase orders, accruals and actuals as they land, and turning that data into a reliable monthly forecast to completion. You'll work closely with package managers, engineers, procurement and finance to reconcile quantities and subcontract forecasts, assess the cost impact of changes and variations, and flag emerging cost risk early, then explain the numbers clearly to delivery staff who don't live in spreadsheets.
Australian experience is required.
