We’re looking for an experienced Cost Control Officer to join our Finance team in Thornton on a permanent full-time basis; you will track costs, maintain records and provide reporting to keep projects on budget.

Work closely with project managers and the Finance team, monitor labour and material costs, and support billing and month-end close.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in cost control, job costing or project finance.
• Understanding of budgets, cost tracking and financial reporting.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with project managers and investigate discrepancies.
• Experience in mining, construction or engineering is advantageous.

• Reviewing cost allocations and investigating discrepancies
• Monitoring purchase orders, supplier invoices and committed costs

• Supporting project managers with cost reports, forecasts and financial information
• Assisting with project billing, month-end reporting and project close-out reconciliations
• Supporting the Finance team with general administration as required

About the role:

MCA Engineering is looking for an experienced Cost Control Officer to join our friendly Finance team in Thornton. This is a permanent full-time position, offering long-term stability and career development within a growing business.

Working closely with our Finance and Project teams, you will track project costs, maintain accurate financial records and provide reporting to help keep projects within budget.

Your responsibilities

• Tracking and reporting project costs against budgets, including labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors

You’ll be successful if you have:
