This role is designed for an accountant looking to further develop their skills in cost accounting within a complex manufacturing environment. We are seeking someone who is keen to learn, grow, and build their expertise while working closely with experienced finance leaders.
This is not a desk‑bound finance role; you'll be actively engaged with the manufacturing operation to ensure accurate costing, inventory integrity, and financial insight.
Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the Cost Accountant plays a key role in helping the business understand and improve manufacturing performance. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Production, you'll provide cost analysis, inventory insights and financial reporting to support informed decision-making.
You’ll analyse manufacturing costs, investigate variances, support inventory valuation and assist with budgeting and forecasting. The role is also responsible for preparing reporting that helps identify cost‑saving opportunities, improve operational efficiency and drive business performance.
You’ll contribute to month‑end activities, stock reconciliations, audits and process improvement initiatives, while providing financial analysis to support new products, investments and strategic projects.
