Job summary

Mane Consulting Partners is assisting a leading manufacturing and supply chain business in Sydney with a Financial Accountant role based in Parramatta, NSW. You’ll support financial reporting, consolidation and compliance across the operation.

You’ll work within a high-performing team, handling month-end close, reconciliations and budgeting support, while engaging with stakeholders to drive accuracy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified with 2–4 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant role.
• Experience in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, FMCG or industrial environments is valued.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent Excel and systems skills with ERP exposure preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaborative stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting and deadlines.
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Supporting statutory accounts, management reports and financial analysis.
• Assisting with inventory accounting across warehousing and distribution.
• Supporting fixed asset accounting, capex reporting and asset register.
• Preparing BAS, tax workpapers and compliance reporting.
• Monitoring cashflow, bank reconciliations and treasury activities.
• Partnering with stakeholders to provide financial insights for decisions.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
• Supporting audit requirements and internal controls compliance.
• Identifying process improvements and finance transformation opportunities.

About the Role

As Financial Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting financial reporting, compliance and operational finance activities across the business. Working within a high-performing finance team, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities while partnering with stakeholders.

• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts, management reports and financial analysis
• Assisting with inventory accounting and reconciliations across warehousing and distribution operations
• Supporting fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure reporting and asset register maintenance
• Preparing BAS, taxation workpapers and compliance reporting requirements
• Monitoring cashflow, bank reconciliations and treasury-related activities
• Partnering with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis activities
• Supporting audit requirements and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to finance transformation initiatives

About You

• CA or CPA qualified, with 2-4 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant, or similar role.
• Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, FMCG or industrial environments will be highly regarded
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes
• Excellent Excel and systems skills, with ERP exposure preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement
