Job summary

Kinexus is seeking an experienced Cortex Consultant for Canberra-based engagements. The role is contract, with 6- or 12-month terms, and requires deep SOC and SIEM expertise to guide customers through Cortex implementations—from data onboarding to threat detection engineering and incident response.

NV1 clearance preferred, Australian citizens also considered. This hands-on, client-facing position emphasizes vendor-agnostic guidance, SOC PPT, and platform integration across SIEM/EDR/SOAR

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a security/SOC role.
• Confident, vendor-agnostic understanding of Incident Response, Threat Detection Engineering, and SOC PPT.
• Experience deploying and managing SIEM/EDR/SOAR tech.
• Experience guiding data source onboarding and threat detection engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cortex deployments and SIEM projects on client engagements.
• Guide customers through data source onboarding, correlation tuning and incident response processes.
• Provide hands-on, customer-facing delivery in SOC operations and threat detection.
• Collaborate with vendors and clients in a consultancy environment.
