Job summary

Gladstone Regional Council in Queensland seeks a Corporate Performance Business Partner to translate insight into action and support leaders across the organisation to improve outcomes for the Gladstone community.

You'll build trusted relationships, develop performance frameworks, dashboards and reports, and drive conversations that close performance gaps while aligning with strategic plans. A strong analytics background is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Business, Analytics, or a related discipline, and/or significant demonstrated experience in performance monitoring, planning or reporting roles.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data and translate it into clear, meaningful insights to inform decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience developing and maintaining performance frameworks, including indicators, dashboards, and reporting cycles aligned to strategic plans.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders across diverse business units to support planning and performance outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights clearly to a range of audiences and prepare high-quality reports and visualisations.

Corporate Performance Business Partner

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Corporate Performance Business Partner to contribute to Council’s success.

About the Role

As our Corporate Performance Business Partner, you’ll be the go-to advisor who helps leaders turn insight into action.

You won’t just produce reports you’ll build trusted relationships, spark meaningful conversations about what’s working, and help close performance gaps so our teams can achieve the outcomes that matter most to our community.

In this role, you will:

• Partner with leaders and teams to understand their goals and challenges, helping them track progress and stay focused on what matters.
• Facilitate conversations and workshops that uncover opportunities for improvement and celebrate success.

• Strengthen Council’s performance culture by helping teams connect the dots between their work and community impact.

You will bring:

• Qualification in Business, Analytics, or a related discipline, and/or significant demonstrated experience in performance monitoring, planning or reporting roles.

• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders across diverse business units to support planning and performance outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights clearly to a range of audiences and prepare high-quality reports and visualisations.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a complex environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with performance reporting tools or platforms (e.g., Power BI, Excel dashboards).
• Current Queensland driver's licence or the ability to legally drive in Queensland.
