Job summary

Capstone Recruitment is seeking a senior Manager, Real Estate Equity & New Products in Sydney. You will lead the development of new investment products, structure capital solutions and drive transactions across real estate markets.

In this high-visibility role, you will manage research, modelling, documentation and stakeholder engagement with institutional partners to shape the firm's product and capital initiatives in a disciplined investment platform.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years' experience in real estate capital markets, investment banking or structured finance.
• Background from an institutional investment manager, limited partner or advisory environment.
• Proven track record executing real estate equity transactions, including M&A.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of institutional investment structures, capital structures, funding sources and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field; CFA/CA/CPA/MBA advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and analysis on new product development initiatives across real estate markets.
• Drive pitchbooks, investment memoranda and materials for stakeholders and capital providers.
• Perform and review financial modelling for new and existing transactions and initiatives.
• Optimize transaction and fund structuring with external advisors.
• Manage transaction documentation, due diligence and RFI responses.
• Prepare and review term sheets, Investment Committee papers and board papers.
• Manage relationships with advisors and capital partners with updates for providers.
• Collaborate with outsourced legal, tax, accounting, due diligence and investment banking providers.
• Partner with Finance, asset management, acquisitions and development teams on execution.
• Support Investment Committee processes and senior management reporting.

Manager, Real Estate Equity & New Products | Sydney

A leading Australian real estate investment manager is seeking a Manager, Real Estate Equity & New Products to join its capital markets function.

This is a high-visibility role at the centre of the business's growth agenda, responsible for developing new investment products, structuring capital solutions and executing transactions.

The role

• Lead research and analysis on new product development initiatives, identifying trends and opportunities across new and existing real estate markets
• Drive and coordinate pitchbooks, investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders, including third-party capital providers
• Perform and review financial modelling for new and existing transactions, product initiatives and strategic initiatives
• Optimise transaction and fund structuring (tax and accounting) in partnership with external advisors
• Manage transaction documentation, due diligence processes and RFI responses from institutional capital
• Prepare and review transaction materials including term sheets, Investment Committee papers and board papers
• Manage relationships with advisors and capital partners, including preparing updates and presentations for capital providers
• Work collaboratively with outsourced legal, tax, accounting, due diligence and investment banking providers
• Partner closely with Finance, asset management, acquisitions and development teams on product and transaction execution
• Support Investment Committee processes and senior management reporting

About you

• Approximately 10 years' relevant experience in real estate capital markets, investment banking or structured finance
• Background from an institutional investment manager, limited partner or advisory environment, with established understanding of unlisted fund products, the listed environment and LP requirements
• Proven track record executing real estate equity transactions, including M&A
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
• Solid understanding of institutional investment structures, capital structures, funding sources and risk management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced investment environment
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; CFA, CA, CPA or MBA advantageous
