The Role

We are seeking a Senior Corporate & Commercial Lawyer with 4+ years' post-admission experience to join our Corporate & Commercial team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced lawyer who wants to work directly with our Directors and senior lawyers, take ownership of matters and develop a strong client-facing practice within a specialist corporate law firm.

You will be involved in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

• Equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, RTOs and capital raisings
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Private equity transactions
• Corporate governance and advisory work
• General commercial transactions
• Strategic advice to ASX-listed and private clients
• Resources and technology sector matters

You will have the opportunity to take a leading role on transactions, manage matters with increasing autonomy and develop direct relationships with clients and other professional advisers.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded and capable lawyer who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You will ideally have:

• An Australian law degree and admission as an Australian lawyer
• 4+ years' post-admission experience
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on the areas of schemes of arrangements, takeovers and ECM (in the ASX environment)
• Experience working with or advising ASX-listed companies
• Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills
• The ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy
• Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The confidence to deal directly with clients and other advisers
• A willingness to take ownership and responsibility for mattersThe ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative approach and genuine interest in contributing to a close-knit team
