Job summary

SA P/L, a growing boutique commercial law firm in the Sydney CBD, seeks a corporate and commercial lawyer with 2–3 years PQE. You will report to the principal and assist senior lawyers on a broad range of matters with direct client contact and increasing responsibility.

The role includes cross-border work across industries, including renewable energy and property, in a collaborative team. You will work in a hybrid Sydney CBD office, with mentoring from senior lawyers and a varied practice across

Qualifications

• Admitted in Australia with 2–3 years PQE in corporate & commercial practice.
• NSW practising certificate (with or without supervised legal practice).
• Sound drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and focus on commercial outcomes.
• Comfortable with modern legal technology including AI-assisted workflows.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Share and asset acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence and completion.
• Loan and security documents and structured finance.
• Commercial contracts including distribution, franchise and supply agreements.
• Financial services regulation including AFSL and AML/CTF compliance.
• Property transactions and leasing.
• Corporate governance and company law advice.

We are a growing boutique commercial law firm in the Sydney CBD. We advise on M&A, corporate law, structured finance, property, financial services regulation, and domestic and cross-border investment, with a particular focus on Asia-related matters. Our clients work across a range of industries, currently including renewable energy, property and FMCG.

The role

As our team grows, we are looking for a corporate and commercial lawyer with 2 to 3 years' post-qualification experience. You will report directly to the principal and work alongside and assist our senior lawyers on a broad range of matters, with direct client contact and responsibility that grows with your experience. The work includes:

• share and asset acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence and completion
• loan and security documents and structured finance
• commercial contracts, including distribution, franchise and supply agreements
• financial services regulation, including AFSL and AML/CTF compliance
• property transactions and leasing
• corporate governance and company law advice

About you

• Admitted in Australia, with 2 to 3 years' post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial practice
• A current NSW practising certificate (with or without the supervised legal practice condition)
• Sound drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several matters at once
• Clear communication and a genuine interest in commercial outcomes for clients
• Comfortable working with modern legal technology, including AI-assisted workflows
• Full working rights in Australia
