City of Gold Coast Council seeks an experienced Events Leader to shape how city events are facilitated, approving processes and governance across a broad portfolio. You will coach a capable team and provide expert advice to ensure safe, well-regulated events that deliver strong customer outcomes.

Located within the City Activation branch, the Events Team helps bring the Gold Coast to life by enabling safe, well-coordinated and successful events across the city. The team works across Council and with event organisers, industry partners and community stakeholders to support practical event pathways, strong governance and positive customer outcomes.
This is an opportunity to shape how events happen across one of Australia's leading events destinations. You'll influence city-wide approaches to event facilitation, lead a highly capable team and play a key role in improving how Council supports event organisers and the community. The role works with significant autonomy under the broad direction of the Manager Events, providing expert advice across Council to support whole-of-city event outcomes.
