Job summary

Inner West Council seeks a Coordinator Asset Systems to lead our asset management systems, data and technology capability across buildings, parks, open space, transport and stormwater networks.

The Coordinator Asset Systems is responsible for leading Council's asset management systems, data and technology capability, ensuring best-practice management of infrastructure assets across buildings, parks, open space, transport and stormwater networks. Leading a specialist team, this role drives the development and continuous improvement of asset management systems, processes and solutions that support strategic planning, service delivery and long-term asset sustainability.

A key focus of the role is leading innovative technology initiatives, including the implementation and optimisation of TechnologyOne Asset Management, GIS and mobile workforce solutions. Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Coordinator Asset Systems ensures high-quality asset information, reporting and decision-making frameworks are in place to support Council's infrastructure planning and investment priorities.

In addition to providing technical leadership, the role is responsible for developing a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and a strong customer-focused approach to service delivery.

$122,063 to $137,420 + Civil Liability Allowance (if eligible) + Access to Leaseback + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in asset management, information technology or other appropriate discipline recognised by relevant Australian professional institute and/or extensive relevant experience in asset lifecycle management, asset management systems, GIS spatial applications.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in implementing 'best practice' systems, processes and associated technology, including mobile applications, for public infrastructure asset management with the capacity for innovative thinking.
• Demonstrated understanding and ability to implement NAMS and IIMM guidelines for asset inventories, condition assessment and financial reconciliation of capital works.
• Highly developed computer literacy enabling proficient use of mobile hardware devices, asset management software, databases and spreadsheets for collection, input, analysis and reporting of asset inventory data, statistical information and trends
• Well-developed project management, procurement and contract management skills successfully utilised in delivering asset management systems and improvements.
• Class C NSW Drivers Licence
