Qualifications

• Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery is mandatory.
• Full working rights is essential.
• Knowledge of IDDSI and dietary requirements for elderly is preferred.
• Understanding of Aged Care Standards is beneficial.
• Kind, patient, and kind approach to working with older adults.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

The size of our home allows us to ensure personal and genuine, quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious and appetizing meals, tailored to the dietary needs of our elderly residents
• Ensure food is served in a timely, hygienic, and attractive manner
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen
• Collaborate with the care team to accommodate residents' individual preferences and dietary restrictions
• Foster a warm and welcoming environment through the power of food

About you

• Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery, preferably in aged care or large-scale food preparation
• Full working rights is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary requirements for elderly residents is preferred (IDDSI)
• Understanding of the Aged Care Standards is beneficial
• A kind, patient, and understanding approach to working with older adults
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
