Job summary

Guzman y Gomez Australia is seeking a Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. Following the GYG recipe guide, you will work with fresh ingredients to deliver authentic Mexican dishes for our guests, across morning to late shifts.

We welcome applicants with kitchen experience and a Certificate in Commercial Cookery, plus good food safety knowledge. We offer flexible rosters, competitive pay, free uniforms, staff meals and clear opportunities to grow into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen/cooking role within a busy hospitality environment.
• Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of food safety concerns.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dishes following the GYG recipe guide and standards.
• Work with fresh ingredients to deliver quality Mexican dishes.
• Support your team during opens and closes and busy periods.

We are currently looking for people that are available part time or full time, and can work 3-5 shifts a week. Hours will be between 5:30am and 12am, with a mixture of opens and closes.

We appreciate diverse experience, but specifically, we are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience in a kitchen / cooking role within a busy hospitality environment
• Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of food safety concerns
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
