Job summary

Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen is seeking cooks for a fast-paced kitchen with early starts. You will prepare fresh Mexican dishes, follow recipes, weigh ingredients, and keep up with a 7-day roster. Training is provided, and reliability and teamwork are essential.

Shifts begin as early as 5:30am, and the role offers opportunities to learn and grow within a dynamic hospitality brand across Australia.

Qualifications

• No formal cooking experience required; training provided.
• Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to start early shifts (5:30am) and commit to rostering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to high standards with fresh ingredients.
• Work within a 7-day roster and ensure timely meal service.
• Assist with weighing ingredients and following recipes; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Collaborate with team to deliver Mexican kitchen specials and daily goals.

Job Description

We are looking for cooks across a 7 day roster. Earliest start time is 5.30am. Please reach out if you’re interested in joining a fast paced kitchen!

The Cook is at the heart of the restaurant operations. You will be preparing fresh and delicious food, problem solving and weighing-in with expertise on vibrant Mexican flavours. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise fresh ingredients to produce high standard products for our new and regular guests.

Experience is helpful, but it’s not everything. What we mean is:

• Kitchen experience is great but not essential
• Is open to coaching, eager to learn and ready to put in the effort
• ‘Can do’ attitude and can be relied upon

Additional Information

Shifts are available from 5:30 AM - 12:45AM on Weekdays, 5:30 AM - 1:45AM on Friday and Saturday. Looking for all availabilities including weekends!

No cooking experience necessary, training and procedures provided. Just reliability, willingness to learn and work as a part of a team!
