Job summary

Estia Health, a respected aged care provider, is seeking a skilled Cook to join our Queensland kitchen team. You’ll collaborate with the Chef to deliver fresh, nutritious meals that residents love, while maintaining high service standards and meticulous documentation.

You’ll tailor meals to meet individual dietary needs, bring a broad range of cuisines, and support kitchen staff to ensure a memorable dining experience for every resident.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen; aged care experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements for residents.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Chef to assist with kitchen management.
• Tailor meals to meet individual resident needs and preferences.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, healthy and delicious.

About the Role

As Cook you’ll:

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
• A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
