Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a Cook to join our team in Melbourne. You will work with the Chef to manage daily kitchen operations and prepare meals that meet diverse resident needs, preferences and diets.

We value teamwork, clear communication and accurate documentation to deliver nutritious and appealing meals that contribute to a positive living environment for our residents.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery required.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen; aged care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with kitchen management.
• Tailor meals to meet residents' needs and preferences.
• Ensure nutritious, delicious meals for residents.

About the Role

Helping create a home residents love, you’ll take pride in delivering service standards that are of the highest level. Utilising your exceptional skills and your passion for delivering fresh and wholesome meals, we believe you will fit right in.

As Cook you’ll:

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
• A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
