Job summary

Holmwood Aged Care is seeking a part-time Cook to join our team. You will support the Head Chef, ensure meals meet the set menu and dietary needs, and uphold HACCP principles within budget.

The successful applicant will have Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, and willingness to obtain a Police Check, with Australian/New Zealand residency or valid work visa. Join a caring, supportive team dedicated to resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge and experience with HACCP and Food Safety implementation and review.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care or hospitality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef to ensure front of house staff provide high quality service to residents.
• Ensure food produced aligns with set menu and residents’ dietary requirements and allergies.
• Review HACCP critical control points and rectify any non-compliance.
• Complete cooking tasks accurately and timely to deliver meals.
• Contribute to development of the facility’s food safety plan in consultation with the Head Chef.
• Complete and record food safety audits/documentation as scheduled.
