Job summary

Helping Hand Aged Care is seeking a casual Cook in Jamestown, SA to provide high-quality meals for residents. You will work within the Food Services team and manage day-to-day kitchen coordination, ensuring nutritional meals and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, at least 2 years in a commercial kitchen, and knowledge of Australian food standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Commercial Kitchen.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial equipment including combi ovens, brat pan and commercial dishwashers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian food standards and food safety.
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality meals for the residents and manage day-to-day coordination of the kitchen.
• Plan meals with attention to nutritional needs and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food preparation and meal delivery is compliant with Australian Food Standards and Helping Hand Food Safety Management Plan.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to promote continuous improvement in Food Services.
