Job summary

Estia Health in Victor Harbor, SA, is hiring a Cook to join our dedicated kitchen team. You will work with the Chef to deliver high-quality meals and support residents with nourishing, tasty options tailored to their needs.

With a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and strong communication, you’ll help maintain standards and contribute to a caring dining experience across our aged care homes.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen, aged care preferred.
• Ability to prepare a variety of cuisines and accommodate dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with kitchen management.
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Ensure healthy, nutritious and delicious meals for residents.
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience.

About the Role

Helping create a home residents love, you’ll take pride in delivering service standards that are of the highest level. Utilising your exceptional skills and your passion for delivering fresh and wholesome meals, we believe you will fit right in.

As Cook you’ll:

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
• A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
