Port Macquarie Panthers is seeking a motivated Cook to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist with food preparation, cooking and presentation across our dining operations while learning industry best practices in food safety, quality and kitchen organisation.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic emerging cook eager to grow their career within a well-established hospitality venue, with opportunities to cater for functions and events.

Qualifications

• Some experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
• Previous function catering experience.
• Fantastic communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A good level of physical fitness as the role entails lifting and carrying kitchen items.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation, presentation and service to our members and guests.
• Catering for functions and various events.
• Stock management duties including stock takes and recording wastage.
• Accepting food deliveries, checking stock and ensure the safe storage of products.
• Cleaning duties within kitchen area to ensure the kitchen is well presented and cleaned at all times.
• Practice compliant food health and safety through safe storage and FIFO principles.

What you'll be doing
