Job summary

Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) seeks a Station Cook to join our team at Delamere Station in the Victoria River district. You will prepare lunches and morning tea for staff and visitors, maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and dining area, and help with grocery planning.

You should have previous kitchen experience, knowledge of nutrition and food hygiene, strong organisational skills, and be prepared to live and work in a remote location.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in managing a kitchen and providing meals to schedule.
• Understanding of dietary nutrition and food hygiene.
• High level of organisational skills to plan meals.
• Be prepared to live and work in a remote location.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform your job and take responsibility for your safe work behaviour.
• Prepare a variety of Lunch and morning tea and ensure it’s placed out for staff to take.
• Ensure nutritious meals are prepared for station staff and visitors as required.
• Keep a clean hygienic kitchen and dining room.
• Prepare grocery lists and maintain adequate supplies.
• Maintain kitchen utensils and assist with the packing of meat for the kitchen.

We are looking for a talented Station Cook to join our team in Delamere. Delamere Station is located in the Victoria River district, 170km southwest of Katherine and 500km south of Darwin.
