Job summary

Bolton Clarke Careers on the Sunshine Coast offers a Cook role in our aged care kitchens. You will deliver high-quality meals to residents and support the Chef with daily kitchen operations.

You’ll plan and prepare nutritious, well-presented dishes, assist with stock control, and ensure compliance with food safety standards in a caring, team-focused environment. Experience in texture-modified meals and bulk cooking is valued.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services to our residents whileproviding kitchen and food preparation support to our Chef. This role is essential in ensuring nutritious, well-presented meals that meet the diverse needs ofResidentsin our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team
• Plan, prepare, and present delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals for residents
• Assistwith general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control
• Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment asrequired
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served in compliance with relevant legislation and food safety standards

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
• A minimum of one year’s experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care or hospital experience preferred)
• Bulk cooking experience (highly desirable)
• Experience preparing texture-modified meals (advantageous)
• Strong communicationskills and the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues

Mandatory for compliance

• Willingness to apply for a National Police Check
• Australian Permanent Resident
• Management references
