Job summary

The Coffee Club Harbour Town is hiring an experienced Cook to join a well-established cafe team. Enjoy real work-life balance with no late nights or split shifts, and work 30-38 hours per week with stable rosters you can plan your life around.

You’ll run the kitchen during quieter periods, pair with another cook during busier times, and work across grill, fryer and breakfast/lunch service while keeping food quality high and the kitchen safe and organized.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a busy café, restaurant or high-volume kitchen.
• Fast, organized, clean and calm when orders start flying.
• Reliable and looking for a long-term home; takes pride in good food.

Responsibilities

• Run the kitchen during quieter periods with prep and service.
• Team up with another cook during busier times to deliver quality food fast.
• Cook across grill, fryer and breakfast/lunch service.
• Follow recipes, portions and kitchen systems for consistent plates.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe and ready for service.
• Manage stock, ordering, rotation and waste.

Finish work at a decent hour, keep your evenings free, and enjoy a kitchen where good cooks are valued. We’re a well-established Cafe in Harbour Town, and we’re looking for an experienced Cook to join a team that backs each other up.

What you’ll be doing

• Running the kitchen, prep and service confidently during quieter periods
• Teaming up with another cook during busier times to get quality food out fast
• Cooking across grill, fryer and breakfast/lunch service
• Following recipes, portion sizes and kitchen systems for consistent, great-looking plates
• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe and ready for servicez
• Managing stock, ordering, rotation, portion control and waste

About you

• Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a busy café, restaurant or high-volume kitchen
• Fast, organised, clean and calm when the orders start flying
• A genuine team player who is also happy to work independently
• Reliable and looking for a long-term home, not a stopgap
• Takes pride in putting out good food, every time
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate preferred, but we’ll help you to get it if you don’t have it yet
