Job summary

Topgolf Gold Coast is seeking a casual Cook to prepare and present high-quality food for guests. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, following recipes, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring timely and visually appealing meals for every service.

The role offers flexible shifts with pay at $33.38 per hour on weekdays, and $46.73 per hour on Sundays; junior rates may apply. Join a venue focused on hospitality and guest experiences at Topgolf Gold Coast.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of guest dietary requirements such as allergies and intolerances.
• Food safety certification an advantage.
• Industry experience in high-volume kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent internal service and to promote a positive working environment.
• Follow workplace hygiene procedures (HACCP) and maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen.
• Report any issues that may affect kitchen operations to the Sous Chef.
• Conduct food preparation and cooking duties ensuring items are prepared to recipe and quality standards.
• Be aware of meal times and the importance of timeliness, efficiency and presentation of all meals.
• Arrange, prepare and break down the buffet and food displays while maintaining high presentation standards.

How You’ll Do It

• Conduct food preparation and cooking duties ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards.
• Be aware of meal times and the importance of timeliness, efficiency and presentation of all meals.
• Arrange, prepare and break down the buffet and food displays while maintaining a high standard of presentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven cooking experience.
